The Ladypace team
Ladypace Shrewsbury is owned and operated Simon and Suzanne Shorrock. They've had a successful Personal Training business for over 20 years but were also keen to open their own gym. It was only after a conversation with one of Simon's clients, who had just returned from the USA, that the ball started rolling. She had been to a new style gym for women only and said that the 30 minute workout was fantastic! She said that her friend had lost loads of inches and that you could burn up to 600 calories in one workout!
Simon had known for a long time there was a large gap in the market for a woman's fitness in Shropshire. He had been working in traditional gyms for many years and heard many female members say they had become disillusioned. Poor customer service and staff interaction were partly to blame but they just weren't physically seeing any results for all their many hours sweating away in the gym.
After exhaustive research he came across a company called Ladypace, based in Leamington Spa. The owner reported phenomenal inch loss results, had a very healthy membership and was about to open a second centre. He was hugely impressed and started searching for premises immediately. They came across a unit in Copthorne, on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, which used to be part of a Shopping Centre. It was perfect and after 3 months renovation Ladypace Shrewsbury was born on January 25 2005. Since then they have helped almost 1800 women achieve their health and fitness goals.
The highly qualified, all female fitness team at Ladypace are passionate about helping their members lose weight and inches. They have ladies from all walks of life, aged 14 to 70, with issues that have previously deterred them from joining a 'gym'. Their centre is unique because they take the time to listen to their members and really try to help them move towards a fitter and healthier lifestyle.
